OUTSTANDING DRESSAGE BRED HANOVERIAN MARE

Beautiful 16.1hh, 6 year old Main Studbook Hanoverian Mare

Bloodlines: Prince Thatch x Wenzel I x Absatz

SOLD VIA HBM

"Pussycat" did her Mare Performance Test in Germany where she was awarded 8 out of 10 for rideability. She is a very modern type of mare with an impressive walk and trot, with excellent use of the hind leg and shows much cadence.

Prince Thatch was regarded as one of the best TB sires to stand in Germany and covered an impressive amount of mares before he died. He passed on refinement and athleticism. This is proven by the several FEI dressage horses he sired, including the Grand Prix dressage horses Piccolino (Prince Thatch xx x Ganymed - on the German Olympic A-short list with Klaus Husenbeth) and Gestion Joker (Prince Thatch xx x Absatz - Anky van Grunsven's former Grand Prix horse).

The great-grand sire "Wenzel I" was the leading dressage sire in Germany in 1997/1998. He had several offspring at International Grand Prix level dressage, with his most famous being Louise Nathorst's "Walk on Top". He is also the grand-sire of Olympic bronze medal winning son Jonggor's Weyden.

Pussycat's great-grandmother "St Pr St Goldbad" was a DLG Champion mare in Germany, and her grand-mother "St Pr St Antonia" along with her full sister "St Pr St Antoinette" (both by Absatz) were the Reserve Champions at the Bundesstutenschau in Munster-Handorf in 1979, then "Antionette's" daughters were the Champion family in 1988, followed by her daughters "Wenzelette and Wenette" both by Wenzel I being Reserve Champion Family in 1990 along with being DLG Premium mares.

Pussycat was imported into the UK in 2007 and has had the following foals:

2007: Filly by Stedinger (retained by Stud)

2008: Colt by Rotspon (sold to France as Stallion prospect)

2009: Colt by French Kiss (sold to dressage home in England)

Pussycat is not in foal for 2010 due to having a late foal in 2009. She is only for sale as her daughter by Stedinger is being brought into our breeding programme for 2010. She has the most fabulous temperament and gets on very well with other horses. The sale of this mare gives another Stud the unique opportunity of purchasing a very good breeding mare to add quality to their gene pool, and to their mare lines.

She produces foals with a lot of blood, refinement and quality in movement for the modern dressage horse.

Will only be sold to a fabulous home where her breeding potential will be utilised. She has a blemish to a hindleg and price is reflective of this. For further information please see website or contact as below.
