It is rare to find a stallion with Olympic dressage and showjump ancestors on BOTH sides of their pedigree complete with a coloured coat!
Amour G’s sire, Goshka Ringo is known for his trainable temperament and recently has been represented by offspring in the Burghley Young Event Horse Finals. Amour G’s dam is a double branded Danish warmblood mare by the great May Sherif, sire of many Grand Prix dressage horses including Kyra Kirkland’s Matador.
He is graded with the prestigious WBS-UK, arguably the toughest society to grade with in this country. Amour G has also been presented in the BEF Futurity series and as far as we know is the only horse to be awarded Elite First premiums in both dressage AND showjumping sections. With no marks of less than 9 out of 10, he scored a whopping 9.75 for his paces and his comments included ‘very light on his feet’, ‘a fabulous hind leg’ and ‘uphill and rhythmic’. The evaluators also said “ It wouldn’t matter what colour this horse was, he would still be a great horse” meaning that if you are attracted to breeding a coloured horse, there is no need to compromise on quality with this stallion.
Just 5 years old, he already has major successes in the show ring behind him and has competed in BSJA competitions, jumping double clears and has been schooled cross country proving bold yet sensible. Through no fault of his own he is yet to start his dressage career but is working at Elementary level at home and will make his BD debut very shortly. Top trainers and a List 1 judge have seen this horse and believe he has great talent for top level dressage.
He has the most engaging personality, playful and extremely affectionate.
His first foals were born this year and without exception their owners have been delighted with their quality, confidence and uphill, expressive paces.
All that were presented to the BEF Futurity were awarded 1st Premiums with one filly attaining a Higher 1st including a 9.25 for her trot. Another colt scored an incredible 10 for his attitude!
This stallion will suit a wide variety of mares. He is ideal for adding bone and substance to lightweight mares and length of rein and quality to the heavier mare.
His lovely, laid back nature also make him ideal to produce horses for the keen amateur rider as well as the more serious competitor.
He has proved very fertile indeed, the vast majority of mares conceiving on one insemination.
